Petroleum Landman

Job Summary:

Experienced and motivated Landmen needed in the Midland Area. Day rate is commensurate with experience, with plenty of opportunity to grow within the company.

The Landman will be responsible for confirming land ownership and curing land title. Some leasing may be required.

Job Duties, Requirements, and Responsibilities:
• Must have experience researching courthouse records and identifying and locating surface and oil and gas estate ownership
• Minimum two (2) years oil and gas related experience required
• Must have experience in leasing and land records
• Advanced computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Must possess a knowledge of the laws, regulations, and legal documents surrounding the oil and gas industry, particularly those in Texas.
• Must be a motivated, self-starter capable of working independently and in a team environment to meet demanding deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to perform basic, routine and advanced mathematical calculations, including complicated interest ownership calculations
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form.
• Ability to travel as necessary
