Job Purpose
The Lease Buyer will report to the Vice President of Business Development. As a primary revenue generator for the company, Lease Buyers are critical to our success. This position is responsible for a systematic review of oil and gas leasehold ownership to identify, negotiate and acquire available acreage. Your success is determined by the number of leases you acquire. Individuals willing to take a reduced salary for performance based compensation, with a potentially substantial upside, work best in this position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Lease Buyer performs some or all of the following:
Ongoing and routine review of title information.
Maintain Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, managing client interactions, dealing with future and current owners, optimizing and systematizing relationships.
Provide management with updates and timelines potential deals.
Negotiate and develop offer letters and letters of intent to mineral owners ad oil & gas companies to acquire leasehold assets.
Use company technology to develop Area strategies to target mineral owners.
Share best practices with team members and collaborate accordingly.
Qualifications
Ability to build owner engagement.
Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Attention to detail, creative thinker and problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional, outgoing and charismatic personality and behavior.
Ability to maintain a professional appearance.
Experience
College degree desired
Sales and negotiating experience preferred
Familiarity and experience with running title
