Professional Staffing Partners is seeking a Right of Way Project Manager for a direct hire position based in the Hampton Roads, VA area.  Our client is offering a competitive salary with benefits.  Local candidates are strongly preferred; however, relocation assistance may be available for those that qualify. 


The Project Manager (PM) is accountable for managing complex Right of Way, Acquisition, Relocation, Utility and/or Real Estate projects with minimal supervision and implementing strategies set forth by the Regional Vice President (RVP). The PM partners with the RVP in new business development, proposals and regional growth and provides administrative direction, manages, supervises and coordinates the activities and operations of a project team and/or agents thru project lifecycles.

Minimum Requirements:

Four-year degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of Right of Way experience.
Must have prior project management experience, preferably in Right of Way.
Must have project experience utilizing the Uniform Relocation Act (URA) guidelines.
Prior experience with creating/maintaining project schedules, timelines and overseeing project financials
Must be technologically proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook; SharePoint or equivalent database and other electronic tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Should be comfortable interacting with clients.
Demonstrated organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
Analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work with a team with minimal supervision.
10-25% of your time is spent traveling.
Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Requirements:

Business Development experience strongly preferred.
Prior experience with VDOT or VA local public agency strongly preferred.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
